Q: Can I create my own menu?
A: Yes, our food and beverage experts are happy to create a menu that reflects your wishes.
Q: Can I taste all the food before the wedding?
A: Of course. A complete tasting of all the selected menu items, including your cake, will be scheduled several weeks prior to your wedding.
Q: How long will my reception last?
A: Generally, a wedding reception is planned for four hours. You can extend the time if desired. Your wedding specialist will advise any additional costs for the additional time.
Q: Can I have an open bar at the wedding?
A: You can elect to have an open bar, a limited selection of wine and beer or a cash bar.
Q: Do you have suggested vendors for flowers, music, photography, décor etc?
A: Hyatt Regency San Antonio offers assistance with the coordination of ministers / officiates, floral arrangements, photographers, videographers, DJ’s, Mariachis, interior decorators and entertainment requests. Our extensive experience and resources allow us to handle the arrangements for these services with ease.
Q: Can I host a morning-after brunch or a rehearsal dinner at Hyatt Regency San Antonio?
A: Certainly. We have several locations that are appropriate for these occasions.
Q: Are taxes and gratuities included in the pricing?
A: No, your contract pricing will not include all taxes and gratuities. All Food and Beverage is subject to a Service Charge and Sales Tax. Please remember, pricing is not final until a signed contract is returned to your wedding specialist.
Q: Can my guests have a late check-out the morning after the wedding?
A: We will try and accommodate your guests’ requests; however, this will be dependent upon the overall occupancy of the hotel on the day in question.
Q: Can I decorate the reception room?
A: Generally, yes. There will be certain limitations in some rooms, which your wedding specialist can review with you. Allow us to give you ideas and suggestions that have successfully worked in the past. We can provide the linens, mirror tiles and votive candles, but any other decorations will need to be provided by the bridal party or brought in from an outside decorator.
Q: Can I bring in my own wedding cake?
A: Yes, you may provide both the wedding cake and Groom’s cake. Our hotel will provide the servers, tables, linens, china and utensils.
Q: Do you have catering for weddings at locations other than the hotel?
A: Yes, we are
Regency Caterers and we have a full-service catering staff and kitchen.
